I am working on a order that is requesting a edible figure. What is best to use, this will be a kid's video game character. How far in advance can I make the figure. I am not sure the date I will need it done by yet but I would like to begin practicing. If I some how get it right the first time, it would be nice to not have to make it twice icon_biggrin.gif Any thoughts, tips and ideas would be appreciated!!

I usually use a mixture of fondant/gumpaste. It can be made months in advance. The head for the peacock cake I did for my daughter was made a month in advance.
