Does anyone have a video tutorials of making a helmet cake? I just got an order for a helmet cake but I never made one so I would really love to see how one is made..

I can't help on a tutorial, but I've had a helmet for the top of a cake. It's in my pics. I'm notorious for using various shaped pans cause I can't even cut cake evenly so if you have a bundt pan id use that for the top and rounds for the bottom. I'd put cardboard under the bundt layer to support where your cutting out at. Freeze the cake so it stays together after you assemble it but before the crumb coat. My helmet was small so I used ball pans and cut the bottom off one. I cut out the face part using a poster board template so I got the lines even. I made the mask using wooden dowels and cake grade wire and then covered with fondant but in hindsight I should have done it with gum paste to help keep it's shape. I also steamed it like crazy to give it it's sheen. hope that helps some!
