There is a store in north Seattle called Home Cake (9514 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115, (206) 522-4300). The owner (Griel) knows local decorators and gives recommendations. You could call her; if you (or your friend) go/goes to the store, do not be put off by the teeny shop crammed full to overflowing with cake stuff. Griel knows where everything is and knows probably everything about cake decorating.
