I have a 6" and 8"cake surrounded with broken chocolate pieces on the outside (used from melted choc discs) and a bow made with modeling chocolate. Can you please tell me the best way to mail this cake within the U.S.? I will definately shrink wrap it but I want to get it there in one piece and not a big melted chocolate mess. UPS quoted me $60+ (thats not reasonable).

If you think the cake has "broken" chocolate pieces on it now, wait till it gets to its destination. Have you seen how hard they toss those boxes - even if it say's fragile. The only way you can ship a cake is to put fondant on it - and put it inside a tin then pray.
