Hi everyone. I ave gotten the hang of the tappits and I was just wondering which method you use to cut your funky tappits? I've only tried the corn starch method; I love Tonedna's method and it's definitely less messy, I'm trying it the next time I use them. How long do you let yours set before placing on cakes (especially on the sides); do you ice your cakes while it's setting up? What's the best way to adhere them to a crusting buttercream without breaking them? I always use a little paint brush and water but they are so fragile.

Can you explain the Tonedna's method? I have only tried cornstarch myself. I as you do, use a paint brush and a little water to stick the letters to a cake. I use this method to for the sides of the cake. I let the letters dry just enough so they don't get all out of shape when I move them. So they are not hard. I find if they are hard it's difficult to get them to stick to a cake.
