I had to make a carved fruit cake the other day http://cakecentral.com/gallery/2225338/ if you would like a look icon_smile.gif But as you can imagine I ended up with lots of crumbs and i just couldn't throw them away, does anyone have any good ideas of what to do with them because they are really tasty icon_biggrin.gif

Well, the most obvious answer is to eat them with coffee. icon_lol.gif

Or....cake pops?

or (according to Iron Chef America) make your own fruitcake sausage!

when i make a dam for filling, i actually use left over cake crumbs (e.g. from leveling) mixed in with my icing to make it stiff. you can save it as "cake spackle" as well with the same idea to patch up any dents before icing.
