Does anyone know where to buy the rice paper that is used to make the Angel/Feather
tree cake?
One of the 1st things is to get the wording right Not many places call it 'rice' paper anymore. It's proper name now is wafer paper. So when inquiring at shops, use both words: "I'm looking for rice paper Also Known As wafer paper........"
I get mine from BANNED. Lol , I did that myself, but I was just saving the computer the hassle. You can buy a few sheets or a huge pack. I have a huge pack, myself. For about 3 years now
You should be able to get it at pretty much any baker's supply store. I've had it for a while but just used it this past weekend on a cake. I actually ran it through my laser printer (no one is going to eat it anyway...), tore it to make it look old and painted it with thinned coloring. The cake I used it on was posted earlier if you want to see what it looks like painted. Good luck with your cake!
LMAO at BANNED! BANNED is where I buy them too.
Do you order them, or are you state resident?
I order. It's the only website that always always ALWAYS has everything in stock that I need. I have tried GSA, I have tried others, and as much as I don't care for the shipping charges...at least I have one credit card charge and one package to track.
The wafer paper I use is from Chef Rubber.
I don't post often enough to know what the whole Banned thing is about....
