Hi all
Can anybody tell me how to make deep vibrant coloured frosting i have been trying to make a deep poppy red coloured frosting but as you are adding red colour to a predominantly white/cream coloured frosting it comes out more of a pink colour, i am using paste colour but just cant seem to achieve a reasonable depth of colour please help.

Try using a bright neon pink (wilton Rose is good, or americolor deep pink) to achieve a sickly-sweet bright pink color. Then add your red coloring. You won't need nearly as much red coloring and you'll get a pretty decent red icing.
