I love the original WASC recipe and wondered if it were possible to make it into Red Velvet cake? I have the Lorann Red Velvet Emulsion.

Thanks so much,

Vonda

Yes there is.. Macmom has a red velvet wasc recipe.. ive used her recipe several times and have gotten great reviews from it.. If you look under the gourmet flavors topic under the forums you will find the recipe listed there.. Let me see if i can find the recipe for you and i will post it..

Sure it's possible icon_smile.gif Just add 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder; and 1 oz of red food coloring.
Maybe change/use buttermilk as the liquid.
The emultion sounds good - go ahead and add some but since I'm not fimilar w/it I don't know how much to suggest. All the other LorAnn stuff I have used was VERY strong flavored so I'd go easy with it.

Edited to ask - Do I add the emulsion and the 1 TBSP flavoring?

You can also just use Duncan Hines Red Velvet cake mix and follow the WASC recipe. Works great.
