i have a cake to make later this month and cannoli filling was requested...what cake goes well with it?

Although personally I'd love a chocolate cake with that kind of filling, my guess is most people won't! I'd go with a vanilla cake so you don't overpower the filling! Good luck!

I do a Tiramisu cake where I use my cannoli filling with a vanilla cake that I lightly spray with espresso before filling. It's one of my most requested cakes.
