I have a lady that is needing 500 cake pops for a company christmas party. She has the sticks, bags, sugar crystals, and candy coating so all i would be doing is making the cakes, rolling, and decorating. I have no idea what I should charge for this order. I normally charge $15 a dozen for other orders. any help would be great!

What will the cakes cost you to make? How much time will the rolling and decorating take you? H ow much is your time worth?

Well it will cost me 37.45 to make the cakes and to roll and decorate i would say 2.5 hrs per cake(13).

If you pay yourself $10 per hour, that's $362.45.

I agree with jgifford. Cake pops/cake balls are really time consuming and materials are a small fraction of the cost. Take what you charge and subtract what it normally costs you for materials and thats what you should charge this lady. She not only paying you for your time, but also for your expertise and talent
