I am looking for a good instructional book for making gumpaste characters/figures. I see many out there, but really only want one. Any suggestions for one that covers people figures and animals?

I use instructions for polymer clay figures.
I get directions on line and from books. There is a large amount out there.

I agree! Polymer clay books and tools make GREAT cake tools also.

Hi, Can you guys point me in the right direction for making Sesame Street gumpaste figurines. Are there books or videos out there with step by step instructions? Or is there someone in the NY/NJ area that teaches hands on classes for this? Thanks.

I have a book called FONDANT MODELING FOR CAKE DECORATORS by HELEN PENMAN.

It has 100 fondant features. Have not had a chance to try any of them, but a very COOL book!

Debbie Brown has some good character books. You might try Winbeckler too.

I have Cake Characters by Ann Pickard. Very cute figures of both animals and people with nice instructions.
