I just had my father cut me a large square board (24x24) because I wanted something super sturdy. I usually cover my wooden boards with clear contact paper and then fanci-foil. Is there a better way?

I can't think of a better way. You've got it covered!

Throw the foil away after use, clean the Contact covered surface, and you're good to go with another fanci-foil color the next time.
