Have never made it to use under fondant but am about to try. My question is this. Is it sweeter or less sweet than abc?

That would depend on what kind of chocolate you use. I usually use semi-sweet with a dash (technical term) of milk chocolate,n it is not as sweet as butter cream. Bittersweet would be the least sweet and Milk chocolate would be very sweet.
