I'm opening a sweet shop, I am currently under construction. I am getting my suppliers in order. However, being that I am new, I think I could probably do better than the suppliers that I am looking at.

I was wondering if you 'seasonal' business owners wouldn't mind sending me a few links to the "wholesale" suppliers you are using for: cupcake packaging, candy packaging, liners, baking supplies, edibles, etc.

Anything to help a new kid on the block with ANY ideas will be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

I don't think it is that at all. Since you are in NJ (as am I) you should consider

Restaurant Depot - they have several locations in NJ. I trust you already have your tax id and it does not matter if your place is open yet. If so, you can get a free membership. Things to get there are: flours, sugar, cake boxes, cake boards, eggs, extracts, etc.

Dairy Land - Eggs, milk, chocolate, etc.

Paris Gourmet - Chocolate, purees, etc.

Depending on your volume and size look into Sysco.

This should get you started.

MCurry - thank you very much this helps a lot. Yes I have my tax id, location everything. I'm down to the suppliers, getting everything set-up by time the construction is completed.

Not all members are online 24/7; sometimes responses take more than a few hours (especially since your question is location specific).
