So, I've been asked to make a cake for a fundraiser for a non-profit organization. Their theme is "The Magic of a Smile." They want the colors to be black & white, with their signature colors of violet and light green. Any ideas? There is a black bow tie on the invitation and the inside of the envelope is violet with white polk-a-dots. It's a "cocktail attire" party, so I want it to be sophisticated, not kiddy. Help! icon_smile.gif TIA!

Could you do an upside down tophat with a magic wand? You could make fabric ( fondant) handkerchiefs tied together out of their colors with polka dots. Just my first thought.

I like the upside-down top hat idea. Have you though about using playing cards as a theme element? If you have access to an edible image printer you could even make your own. It would be really awesome if you could incorporate some magic trick or illusion in your cake as well, but I don't have any specific ideas.
