Quick question. Can I freeze cream cheese. I use alot of this in my cakes. This time of year it is usually be on sale. Just thinking ahead.

Yes, I do it all the time. Just let it defrost in the fridge a couple of days before you want to use it.

Some members might have more success than others, and it might be because of the brand.

I tried freezing Philadelphia cream cheese and had negative results (just as described below). icon_sad.gif

The Kraft Philadelphia cream cheese site advises NOT to freeze:
