Does creme bouquet change the color of icing? I need a white icing for a baseball and I like to put creme bouquet in my buttercream (even though it's made with crisco and not a traditional buttercream) but I don't want to if it will change the color of it. Can anyone help? TIA

I use creme boquet in mine and my icing is very white so I have never seen it affect mine adversely. I guess it depends on how big your recipe is. Mine makes 5 1/2 lb. and you put in 1/2t. If that is your main or only flavoring and the recipe is not very big it might affect it, but I would not think it would much. I would also think that you could maybe add a little more powdered sugar to make it a little whiter or add some of the wilton Whitewhite to it.

Thanks Jules. I have just recently started using it so I've never had a reason to need to know this before.

I agree with jules5000. I have never had it effect the color of my buttercream.

I never noticed color change, I don't care for its taste so I don't use it anymore.
