I need to carve a cake in the shape of a cross that is approx 36" wide (across) and 20" tall. Standard 2 layer 4-ish inches high.

Can anyone help me figure out how many servings this would make please? I need to get a customer a price and I've had like 2 hours sleep. My brain is officially mush, LOL Thanks!

How wide will each 'branch' of the cross be? Yes, we say 36" for the cross-arm but how wide is it? Like 2", 4" ? That is how you will be able to determin the # of servings.
If each branch/arm is 4" wide, then it will be sliced into 1" pieces (1x4x4) then in 1/2 for the standard serving size of 1x2x4 sothe yeild will be 72; then 30 from the other direction so your total servings would be 100.

Thank you for your reply! That's a good point, I'm thinking 6 inches. It needs to be kind of on the thicker side. The info you gave was helpful thank you again
