I just finished making some gelatin bubbles for a cake and I loved the look. However, it just breaks my heart to see people have to remove a decoration off of the cake before serving or eating it.

Has anyone tried flavoring the knox? Would I just replace 1/2 tsp of water w/ flavor? Would that be too strong?

What about Jell-O? I know it's got added sugars but can it be made into the same sort of solidifying sheets that the knox can?

I figure I'm going to have to do some experimenting on my own, but I figure someone else MUST have done this already. right?

Wouldn't it be great to have these beautiful gelatin butterflies on the cake and have people fighting over who gets to let it melt onto their tongue?
