Air Bubble On My Fondant Covered Cakes

It isn't a big deal but it bothers me. When i cover my cakes with fondant, i start fromt he center and press on the fondant to get out the air bubbles and smooth it out. I get it perfect, but after a while an air bubble always appears, wether it's on top or on the side. Why is that happening? it's not there in the beginning. It hasn't yet been major where it was an issue, but it bothers me that it's there. How do you fix that?

My wife also has that issue on occasion. She just used a pin to puncture the bubble. Works like a charm.
