I have the 3D skull cake to do this week.I am of course covering it in white fondant. What is the best medium to shade the eye sockets, nose, and teeth?

I have an airbrush...lustre dusts etc...I want the skull to kind of look antiquey...but when you try and do this with lustre dusts it streaks/blobs in
one area...would painting it in work better?

Any suggestions??

I would use cocoa powder. Mix icing sugar in to get lighter shades and mix dark luster dusts in to get darker shades. Make sure not to get it wet though.

You could use your airbrush you just need to make sure you're not too heavy handed with it. Build up the colour.
