I wanted to buy a "sheet cake" pan just to have around, I'm a hobby baker. So I went to look for a pan and can't figure out what a standard sheet cake size is supposed to be.

I see 9 X13, 10 X 15, 12X16, 12X18, and even a 11 X15.

So does sheet cake refer to a rectangular cake or is there an industry standard size for a sheet cake.

9x13=1/4 sheet
11x15=1/3 sheet
12x18=1/2 sheet
16x24=full sheet
