I'm creating a cake in white, the base tier is round and iced plain fondant, the middle tier is square and the sides are quilted, the top tier is round plain iced. I'm putting black ribbon round the base of each tier with a cameo in black and white attached. I was thinking of piping on the plain round tiers a row of RI pearl dots just above the ribbon line but I don't know if this is going to be "too much" or look wrong as the middle tier is quilted without dots of course - what do you think please? I debated putting the ribbon in the middle of each cake tier and piping pearl beads round the base to hide the joins instead.. I just don't know what will look best any ideas appreciated - thank u
i like the idea of putting it in the middle with the dots at the joints.
