I have a 3D Pyramid cake to do next week and I am considering doing it in BC because I am concerned if I cover it in fondant the top will rip..Any suggestions??

Anyone ever cover a Pyramid??How did you do it? Panels..all one sheet?

I would definitely say panels, 100%!

Thanks for your response Lisa...How would you go about measuiring them...It seems tedious to hold it up and then cut each side....

Trying to find an easier way....LOL

If you go here and register http://www.designer-cakes.com/online-cake-decorating-tutorials/ you can access the tutorials for free until the end of October. If you go on the free handbag tutorial he covers that with panels. I would do it the way he does it... Sticks the fondant down then cuts it. You can get clean edges that way. If you use chocolate based fondant you can smooth the seams away easily. HTH
