Hi - I'm really new to this whole cake decorating thing and am trying to make an Alice in Wonderland themed cake. I seem to have got a little carried away with my planning and now the reality of actually having to make the decorations is really scaring me!

So, I'm going to need to make a mad hatters hat and I'd like the try and make the blue catapillar - not sure if this should be done in fondant or floristry paste? The catapillar is particularly daunting - has anyone already made one and can give me any pointers please? I'm thinking if I can manage the catapillar, things like mushrooms, cards etc will be simpler!

Any help really would be gratefully recieved! icon_smile.gif

Hi if you go to the 'Galleries' tab at the top and scroll down to the 'Alice in Wonderland cake contest 2010' you will get loads of ideas from there, and I'm sure that if you need some help with something that you see on there you can pm the baker and they would help. HTH
