I am going to attempt to make a fondant baby bathtub as a topper for a baby shower cake. I have an idea of how I'm going to try to mold the tub. Just wondering if there is an easy way to accomplish this other than me making a mold out of a ball of foil and letting it dry that way?

You could try using rice krispie treats. I use them to mould. I then cover them in a very thin layer of fondant just to smooth out the bumps then I cover it in modelling fondant (gumpaste) so it has a nice smooth finish!
