im making a chocolate cake for a friend she wants 3 tiers each one has choc finger biscuits around it and is cover in choc frosting , my problem is i dont know how to stack it one on top of the other , i know for an iced cake you use dowels but not sure if thy can be used for a soft choc cake, any body know how to do it please

You should always dowel a tiered cake to prevent the top layers from crushing the bottom tier.Doesn't matter what recipe..if the cake is dowelled properly it will hold the weight.Go to wilton website and chek outtheir different sections..I believe they have a section on how to dowel a stacked cake..Very helpful
