I want to make a 3D cake for my husband's birthday and I keep trying to come up with ways to do the structure and my brain is hurting. I just can't seem to focus to get it nailed down.

Here is a picture of what I want to try and replicate:

What you can't see in that picture is that the creature is supported by three tree roots, so the middle is actually off the ground and level where the roots meet the trunk.

Now, I thought about trying to use piping, flanges and angled connectors to get what I need for the legs to make sure they support the trunk (which I want to be made of cake), but I'm not sure if that would work.

It would be easier to use three short pipes and flanges in the two boards the base and the support for the cake), but do you think it would be possible to build RKT and get the right shape?

Thanks in advance!
