Does anyone have a good recipe for an Italian Creme Filling? I have a cake for this weekend and they specifically requested that filling.

Thanks!

Have you done a search in the recipe section on this site? Check that out, you might find just what you're looking for!

Isn't the Italian Creme Filling the same as cream cheese filling? I know that I have used a cannoli filling for a Italian cake. Good luck icon_smile.gif

Or do you mean pastry cream?

Hi, Halpain. I have Italian desserts magazines and books. I just sent you a recipe from my "Italy's Best Cakes" digital magazine for their "cream cannoli."

It includes milk and also fresh cream, and there's a note at the end to transfer it to a bag to fill the cannoli, BUT only shortly before serving. Just wanted you to know that. It's probably because it requires refrigeration.
