Anyone lead me into making an airplane out of fondant,,a size to fit onto a 1/4 sheet cake whereas it's not too big/ nor too little. I can't find a step by step on on how to do this..can you help me please?

Also a flag,,how do you get perfect stripes and stars imbedded into fondant to look like an american flag? Can someone help me with this also?

Thanks!

Jenifer

I recently made a biplane for a topper for my son's cake, although it came out much larger than what it should have been for a topper! Anyway, I bought a wooden 3-D puzzle from Michaels(it cost $1.50!) and used the pieces of the puzzle for the template. I used rice krispies for the body and covered with modeling chocolate. I used gumpaste for the wings and other details. I really liked using the puzzle because I was able to keep it all proportional so it went together easily.
