I am doing a guitar cake this weekend and need ideas what to use for the guitar strings? I've looked for black licorice pinwheels or pull apart strings everywhere!!! Any help would be appreciated!!

I havent' done this myself, but I've seen other people on here use uncooked spaghetti for them.

I just made a guitar and used uncooked spaghetti and painted it silver -- came out really good.

I have never tried this before, but what about dental floss. It's flexible and long enough to cut to the length that you would need.

Just an idea

I just recently made a guitar for my son and had the same problem. My daughter does beading and offered her clear beading string. It was flexible and worked out great.

I used silver embroidery thread on mine. It was easy enough to thread around a wooden dowel with modeling chocolate and pull relatively taught. It actually suspended above the fretboard which is nice. Here's my cake.
