Can they be applied to fondant/gumpaste like edible images?

I'll be trying modeling chocolate for the first time, can the Wilton sheets be applied to the rolled out modeling chocolate and cut into shapes for accents?

yes, they are very similar to edible images..if not exactly the same thing. I have only used an edible image once or twice, so I don't know if it's made from the same exact stuff. Just brush on a little piping gel or water to the fondant/gumpaste and apply. I've done it many times.

I tried some just last week....I used the black to make silouttes, you can cut it with sissors or you can use an exacto knife. I put it on a BC icing...let it crust a bit and brushed a little water on the back of the siloutte and attaced it to the cake. Not to forgiving, but it worked OK.

Thank you both.

Any cake pictures using the sheets on modeling chocolate?
