I cannot figure out how to do a cakeboard for a 15" petal- will this work? I will double tape it to my round masonite board which is covered in fondant. I hot glued the regular waxed board onto a petal shaped box which I'd cut. There might be an easier way which I haven't thought of? I think I'm done offering petal shaped cakes- this is a disaster!!

Try w/ a formcore..... make a pattern, place it on the formcorn, trace, then cut.

I would use the cake pan as your guide. I hope that is the question that you are asking

I can't get the formcore where I live, but for future reference, can the cake go directly onto that? I used the cake for my guide on this, then pieced it together. I still need to trim some corners icon_smile.gif

With the foam core you need a barrier between that and the cake. I use the press 'n seal. Just put the sticky side against the foam core.

Of if you have a dollar tree, they carry foam core as well.
