Hello, clever people!

I would like to make a square gift box/hat box, and would like to try and make the lid as perfect as this one:

Any idea? From the photo it looks like there no seams in the lid... but I could be wrong!

It looks like a long strip of black fondant wrapped around the cake,......and... a square piece of fondant placed on top. the square piece could be having some sort of tylose or hardening stuff added into it. - just my observation

I agree on that, it looks like a strip wrapped around and a square placed on top who h might be harder than normal fondant. I don't know how they got the corners so perfect though... maybe if you put a board or something on top of the cake for the lid and then ocd over it. (im so not experienced so thats just an idea lol)
