I am looking for a good web-site or youtube video that shows you how to make petit fours.

Also, can I use chocolate melts to coat petit fours? All I am seeing is poured fondant recipes.

Thanks for any help!

Doing a test run of petit fours today (1st time ever!) using Anne Thorntons cake recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/anne-thornton/petit-fours-recipe/index.html
and Wilton's Quick Pour Fondant.

I have done alot of research online and see similar pouring techniques, but many poured fondant recipes. Tried a poured fondant lsat week and it did not work well at all!! So much for that one! So I guess Wilton's is my next trial; just hope it'll be the one.

Question is, do I really need to crust with BC or do I try without? BC may cut out some of the sweetness of the poured fondant, but is an added step. I have also heard that using white food color will lessen the opaqueness; has anyone found that to be true?

To those of you who have experience with petit fours: if you have any additional suggestions/tips....bring 'em on!!!
