I have a 50lb bag of the White Bakers Plus and I want to make Macsmom's Orange Dreamsicle (as well as some others) The Baker's Plus only calls for water and oil. Soooooo...do I leave out the eggs in the recipes?

My thought was....the regular box cake mix calls for 3 eggs...so if any of the recipes call for more than 3 eggs then I would add that amount. ???

Any help would be appreciated.... icon_biggrin.gif

According to what I see, even when you add fruit or other spices only the water is adjusted to a few ounces more. All that I have do not say anything at all about adding eggs to it.

Thank you Evelyn, what I was wondering is...since the eggs are already in my cake mix (I only have to add oil and water to Baker's Plus), should I follow this recipe but omit the eggs?

Orange Dreamsicle - MacsMom
2 boxes white cake mix
2 c melted orange sherbet
2/3 c OJ or diet orange soda (soda suggested by cinderspritzer: "I added ... diet sunkist soda.... and it tastes FREAKING AWESOME!!!")
2 c flour
1-3/4 c sugar
1-1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda (modified to add baking soda 3/10/10)
2 c sour cream
9 egg whites
1/4 c oil
1 T orange extract
*Perhaps some food coloring

What kind of filling would you tort this with? What about icing? Vanilla buttercream maybe?
