Can anyone tell me how much cake mix I'll need to fill the Wilton Checkboard pan?

I usually work with a doctored mix.

Thanks!

If you've got the set, according to this, each pan uses 5 1/2 cups of batter which is about a mix.

If you're doctoring your mix like the Original WASC recipe here on CC than I'd guess you probably get 1 1/2 mixes worth of batter and could probably just use a double recipe for this pan set.

I bake from scratch, but I use 1 1/2 batches of batter, I would assume doctored cake mix would be the same. Hope this helps!

I have used that pan a couple of times and it DOES NOT come out like the pictue. I have found cutting my cakes and inverting white-choc-white-chocolate works better.

Thanks for the quick replies. I used the pan today and made two doctored mixes and found I had just a little left over (so I think you were all right on target!)

I will have to wait to see how it looks when cut to determine how well the pans worked for me.

Thanks again!
