So a friend of mine is hosting a fiesta themed bachelorette party for her sister this week. She asked me to make a cake of the male anatomy however, she didn't want it to be raunchy. I was going to dress the cake up in a tux as I've seen online however, I then got to thinking of dressing it in a sombrero and poncho to go along with the theme.

I THINK I know how I'm going to do these things - but I'm looking for suggestions. I found this online for the sombrero - and definitely need to make it smaller http://www.wilton.com/technique/Sombrero. However, to make the poncho I think I just need to color a whole bunch of fondant, roll it out into strips and kind of mush it all together so it looks like a multi-colored poncho......

Does it sound like I'm on the right track? Has anyone ever done this before???

Thanks in advance for any help!
