Hi icon_smile.gif

I am looking for at dense chocolate cake recipe. I am making a 3D cake so it needs to be easy to carve and stack (not crumble too much!)

I prefer a recipe that don't use a cake mix icon_smile.gif

I've used Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake recipe. It is on the side of the Hershey.

by far is the Durable cake for 3D in chocolate on here in the recipe section.Use it all the time..It has a dense crumb and really fudgy taste.Hardly any crumbs.

I love the Durable Chocolate Cake recipe on this website. Many members of my family complain when I use another chocolate recipe of any sort, no matter what the cake design. It's definitely one of my favorite recipes.... and the ONLY one that I use for carved cakes and for heavy decorations or 3 plus tiers.

I use the basic WASC recipe to carve...works great for me. icon_smile.gif
