Hi there, I am looking to make little L plate toppers for hen night cupcakes - I am wondering how best to do this? How does the glitter stick to the fondant, do you press it on?

Hi,
I'd use gumpaste squares for the actual plates, cut them and let they dry out so they go hard, and then paint the red "L" on with food colouring "paint" (powder colour mixed with vodka) and a little thin layer of piping gel should stick the glitter, paint it on, sprinkle the glitter and tap it off.

Hope this helps, good luck! thumbs_up.gif

I would brush a little piping gel or tylose glue on the toppers before putting the glitter on and I'd do it over a tray or some paper or something that will allow you to re-use what doesn't stick to the fondant.
