I am wondering if anyone can help me with an icing recipe.....I have made sugar cookies with royal icing, but didnt like how hard the icing got after a couple of days. I am looking for any feedback from anyone that has decorated sugar cookies with buttercream icing or any other type of icing that stayed softer but was still able to be packaged in wrappers without damaging the finished product? please help me, I really need a good recipe for icing cookies!!

I've used Antonia 74's royal icing recipe a alot. It is firm, but not rock hard.
