Can I use any type of foil since the cake won't actually be touching the drum? The cake will be on a board, the board will be on the drum. Can I just use any type of pretty foil??

yes you can use any type of foil as long as your cake is not touching it, you can also use wrapping paper fabric or anything else if you cover in vinyl or clear plastic, as long as your cake is not touching it you should be fine , good luck
