I made a double batch yesterday and forgot to put it into the fridge. I covered it but do you think its still good to bake today??? Or pitch it to be on the safe side????

If it's been more than a couple of hours, I would pitch it...especially if it contains eggs. Even though baking will likely kill anything growing in it, still not worth the risk IMO.

Personally, I'd toss it because of the eggs (I'm assuming your recipe uses eggs). But then again, I have a bad habit of eating the raw cookie dough, so I guess I'm not too consistent in my food safety opinions lol.

At best, you have a 4 hour window of food being in the "danger zone" (not refrigerated). Toss it or you will be "tossing your cookies" later. icon_smile.gif
