Once my tiers have been covered with fondant/sugarpaste and the lower tiers dowelled I usually stack the cakes straight away - the logic being that I can use smoothers to get rid of any marks created in the fondant when I place the tiers. I read in Mich Turners book that she leaves the tiers to harden overnight before stacking. Is this what other CCers do? What do you do if the fondant gets marked?

I always leave mine overnight then stack. Beacuse fondant has hardened it does not usually mark.
