Hi icon_smile.gif
This is the first time I am working with fondant. Today (about 4hrs ago) I covered 2 cakes (8" and 6") and I'm just wondering how long I need to let them set or dry (does fondant even do that?) before I can stencil on them with royal icing. It is quite cold in my house and has been all day with this horrible weather (Perth Australia).
thanks icon_smile.gif

I usually wait a few hours before doing anything after fondant just to let this cake settle again. Sometimes you'll get air bubbles or other issues and you wanna know before doing stencils, which bravo to you for trying!!!! Anyway, I'd say if its been 4 hours you're good to go. There isn't really a drying time its more of a hardening thing. Good luck and happy Caking.
