I need to make an anniversary cake next week that has ribbon on 2 of the layers. The ribbon is 2 inch lavender grosgrain. They would like to have Rich's Bettercreme icing.

Has anyone ever successfully used ribbon on Bettercreme without it bleeding? I read all the tips on using it on Buttercream but they prefer the whipped Betercreme texture. I can't change the ribbon but I can switch to Buttercream if I have to.
