Hi i need help with frosting?? i need to make a german chocolate cake and would like to know what kind of frosting can i use to ice the cake because it will be covered in fondant? i know the frosting is usually coconut almond ld be too but that would be too lumpy! help please>>>???? thanks!

I would fill he cake with the traditional coconut almond and use ganache under the fondant so you still get the flavor of the german chocolate and it's still smooth under the fondant.

I make a deconstructed German chocolate cake exactly like bohemian suggested. It is great on its own , so a great choice for fondant.
