Not a half hour ago, a crane started tearing down lovely character house directly across from ours. The house, recently sold, is/was in great shape, freshly painted, brand new roof in the last year, lovely kept gardens, flowering shrubs, roses galore as roses were the previous owners passion. Now today, the pretty house and gardens are being erased forever by the new owners.
Ugh, Ugh, Ugh..

icon_sad.gif What a shame that someone who could appreciate it's charm didn't buy it.

Yes, we were hoping the new owners would settle in the neighbourhood for a nice long stay.
As it turns out, the new owners were only interested in buying, tearing down, replacing with a big box, and re-selling.

My friend came over and we watched from my front yard. We've knows the previous owners for years, and to see such a lovely house being torn down for another big ugly box, is sad.

The new owner didn't even bother removing the doors and windows beforehand. Not even the stained glass.

Wow. The house even had stained glass? It sounds really beautiful. So what is a big box house?
