Has anyone used CalJava's Man Stand Kit? How is the cake supported on the stand? Is there an extra support plate that is not shown in the picture on their site? How much cake does the stand support?

Here is a link to the stand on CalJava's site:

Thanks!

The description mentions a cake plate, but it's not shown in the pic.

There would be a cake plate at the "hips". As far as cake goes, it's not much, because it's only the body/torso. I'd say 12-15 servings.

Thank you BlakesCakes!
I'm considering just making the support structure myself, but will have to research it thoroughly since I've never done it before. Off to google I go...

I took a standing clown class from Bronwen and we used that stand. There is an acrylic 8" plate that sits at the hips as BlakesCakes said. We stacked 4 - 8" rounds for the torso and carved part of that away to shape him - everything else was modeling chocolate. There is also a hole in the center for the upright support, so no more than 20 servings, and that many only if you're careful.
